God has spread His love all over the universe, but in order to receive it we must find the right attitude. We must be like the needle of a compass, always pointing towards the north star. This means we must turn around to face the Lord and stop turning our backs on Him as most people do. People are no longer able to cultivate a sacred attitude, they have no respect for what is divine in life, and this is how they close the doors of true love and true life to themselves. They do not even believe it can be of any significance to adopt an appropriate attitude towards Nature, towards the Lord. They imagine that, whatever their attitude, they will be able to understand everything, obtain everything. How ignorant they are! And this despite the fact they have a knowledge of chemistry, or at least they know that in order to obtain a certain reaction you need such-and-such an element in such-and-such a quantity, heat them to such-and-such a temperature, and so on. But when it comes to the right conditions to obtain results in their inner lives, they know nothing, they understand nothing.
