"When you light a candle, gaze at the flame until you melt into it and become yourself a flame. If you learn to love this flame, to speak to it, gradually it will become your friend, and you will make it a habit of going to it to draw comfort, joy and inspiration.
The first thing you must do before lighting your candle is to pick it up and consecrate it, saying, ʻ‘I light this candle to the glory of light, to the glory of the Angel of Fire.ʼ’ You must always specify the purpose of what you are doing so that it will be properly orientated in the astral world.
