When heaven showers blessings on you, guard them closely, for they are very precious, and happiness lies in constant attention to beautiful things and sensitivity to the divine.* When you sense that the spirit, light, has visited you, you must not allow the sensation to evaporate by immediately thinking about other things; keep it alive for as long as possible so that it may sink deeply into you and produce results. In this way, it will leave its mark on you for all eternity. This must become a habit: instead of always allowing your negative states, your disappointments and animosities to weigh you down, instead of feeding and reinforcing them, leave them aside, forget about them and concentrate on all the good, pure, luminous things that have happened to you.
