Communion - the source of true knowledge

When the first man dwelt in close and constant communion with the Lord, nothing was hidden from him.* The divine life in which he was immersed was his unique and perfect source of knowledge. To know something is to taste it. If you want to recover something of that primordial knowledge, you must commune with the universe, with the ocean of cosmic light. Until you are able to rise to the level of consciousness known as ‘communion’, you cannot taste reality and, consequently, cannot know it. People devise theories and hypotheses that sometimes come close to the truth, but they are never quite right. ‘So what is the point of explanations?’ you may ask. To stimulate your curiosity, to trigger a desire to experiment and make certain efforts that will enable you finally to experience other states.
