Deceptions - must not destroy our trust
Make a habit of weighing things on your spiritual scales. Let us say you have had to put up with an insult, an injustice. Examine the pros and cons and you will see that in spite of everything, what you gain by keeping your faith is a thousand times superior to what you lost because of some stupid or mean-spirited person. Every second of your existence, the faith that works within you gives you life. It is like a river of crystalline water that flows unceasingly. Why deprive yourself of its benefits just because you may be wronged or deceived now and then? Wisdom has its own way of weighing things. It does not stop the flow of what is essential, vital and eternal because of a few unpleasant situations. Seeing that you are betrayed only once in a while, is it worth depriving yourself permanently of all that faith can bring you?
