Difficulties - do not take them too seriously

People who take their difficulties or misfortunes too seriously find themselves in inextricable situations, for these problems can be overcome only when we begin to consider that they are not really that bad. Believe me – your true Self is actually not affected by these tribulations. Your true Self is above all of life’s vicissitudes. So, whatever the difficulties you may have to face, say to yourself, ‘Of course, I can’t deny that all these events are real, but is it really happening to me? No, because I am an eternal and immortal spirit, and what is going on here is happening to another person; it is just an illusion and I am a spectator.’*
