Disciples - a weak person can never be truly spiritual

The moment they begin to follow an initiatic teaching, many people imagine that they will no longer have to deal with obstacles and difficulties, and that everyone around them will show kindness, sensitivity, devotion and an abundance of love. No, life is never like that. Whatever path we take, whether good or bad, we encounter difficulties. It is simply that the difficulties are not the same and we experience them differently, that is all. Weakness is one of the greatest dangers that disciples have to face. Since they have chosen the way of light, they imagine that their path will be scattered with roses, and that all will be easy and wonderful. And then they receive shocks they neither expect nor understand, and this makes them vulnerable. Know that a weak person can never be truly spiritual. To be strong, you must know in advance that you will have to pass through trials and tribulations, that people can be malicious, backstabbing and ungrateful—and expect the worst. Then, having prepared yourselves, when tests arise, you will stay firm and unshakeable; disappointments will not affect you, you will not even notice when you are wronged. In this way, you will also be able to help others.*
