Enemies - you don’t get rid of them by exterminating them

So you have enemies and you want to defeat them? Fine! But don't use slander, or tricks, or violence, or the power of money or anything similar. Enemies are never really defeated by such weapons, and they will always hold it against you, so you will have yet more trouble with them, if not in this incarnation then in the next. Even supposing you have succeeded in exterminating your enemy: it is only their physical body you have made disappear. In reality, a being can never be annihilated: their soul is immortal, and they will still hate you and want revenge from the other side. So, the war goes on; it never ends. Everyone is mistaken - whole countries are mistaken - in believing they can wipe out their enemies with weapons, espionage or political intrigue. One country can always succeed in neutralizing another for a while, but sooner or later the other will take its revenge. So, other methods have to be found.
