There are so many people you would like to tell to be more patient, more indulgent, more sincere, more stable and so on! But make no mistake, if you do not possess those qualities in yourself that you want to awaken in others, no matter what you do you will not succeed in influencing them. You must understand that no words or external means can succeed in changing human beings – no external means. You have to possess a special element within – in your heart, soul and spirit – that vibrates and radiates, influencing those around you. Without even having to open your mouth, you arouse in them the wish to be like you. They may not succeed immediately, because it is not possible to rid oneself overnight of one’s lower appetites and instincts. But they realize there is something in you that is radiant, warm and alive. It makes an impression on them, and they want to follow your example.
