Excesses - they can cause irreparable losses

When someone indulges in excesses and leads a disorderly life, we say that they are burning the candle at both ends. Although most people know and use this expression, they do not pay much attention to the way they make use of their energies. On the contrary, because of the disorder of their lives, they burn their candle at both ends. They imagine that their supply of energy is endless and will automatically be replenished. Certain elements can indeed be replaced, because Cosmic Intelligence has designed the human organism in such a way that it can repair and replace some of what it uses as it goes along. But when someone behaves unreasonably, the losses are irreparable. Those who live in a state of disorder and passion waste their most precious energies, and in doing so, not only do they deprive their psychic and spiritual bodies of nourishment, but they also weaken their physical bodies.*
