Fasting - another form of nutrition

Fasting should not be seen as having to go without, or as depriving ourselves. On the contrary, fasting serves above all to nourish us. Yes, when our physical body is deprived of food for a while, our other more subtle bodies—etheric, astral and mental—begin to nourish themselves. For within us is a principle that defends itself, that does not wish to die. When our physical body is deprived of food, an alarm goes off, and the entities in our organism that watch over our survival come to bring us what we are lacking from a higher region, and we begin to absorb these elements from the atmosphere. That is why our breathing improves and, after a time, we no longer feel hungry: we have assimilated nourishment that is not from the physical plane. And if we hold our breath for a few seconds, still other entities from the higher astral and mental planes will come to nourish us. So, fasting is really just another form of nutrition. Only, you must take precautions if you wish to put it into practice. Fasting can prove dangerous for those who have not learned how to do so wisely.*
