Fate - accepting it without being content with it

Animals are happy with their lot: they do not see their limitations, so they don't look for a way out of them in order to make progress. But this way of being, which is normal for animals, is not ideal for humans... even if many are content with it! You'll say, 'So are we supposed to rebel against our fate?' No, but don't misunderstand me; accepting your fate is one thing, being content with it another. We are all obliged to accept our fate as a consequence of how we lived in the past. If we have trials to go through, we must not rebel but know that we are paying for the mistakes we have made in this life and in previous lives. So we make efforts to put things right, while at the same time understanding we must progress on the path of evolution. This means we accept the destiny decreed for us by divine Justice, but we are never satisfied with our present degree of evolution, and we strive constantly to make progress.
