God - to find him in such a way that we can never lose him

Certain thinkers have tried to define God by describing him as a circle whose centre is everywhere and whose circumference is nowhere. Since this centre is everywhere, it is important to understand first and foremost that it is within you, and that it is always possible for you to encounter God, to talk to him and listen to him. Because it was his desire to infuse himself in his creatures, he is part of you and you cannot lose him. If you lose him, it is because you have not yet become sufficiently conscious that you possess him. The reason so many people realize they no longer believe in God is because they have willingly accepted what they were told about him, and what they were told remained exterior to them in the form of words. Words, even the truest and most profound, always remain something external, and for this reason they can eventually lose their meaning. It is human beings alone who can truly imbue them with meaning and preserve their meaning, and in order to do so, they must assimilate them and make them their own.
