Good - why and how to do it

Do not be so concerned with the rewards of doing good. Do all the good you can, whether by means of your actions, your words, your feelings or your thoughts, and then let time do its work. Even though you may have forgotten all about it, one day, unbeknownst to you, all this good will seek you out and reward you. And I would go even further: try to do good without saying anything, without wanting others to know you have done it. This way you will not only feel a secret joy, but you will awaken something good in others. They will wonder who this marvellous being is who does not wish to reveal himself, and they will be encouraged to act in the same way towards others.
