Heavenly homeland, our - its memory lives within us

You are looking at a balloon on a string. It strains to rise into the sky, but it is tied to the ground. Like this balloon, all human beings have something within them which aspires to escape, to rise freely into the air, but which is restrained by its bonds. Well these bonds, we must try bit by bit to loosen or untie them, to allow this eternal aspiration, which is engraved in our soul, this yearning to fly to the immensity of light and peace from whence we came. It is from this memory, often vague and confused, of a distant and lost homeland – a memory often vague and confused – from which most humans draw their faith, for they bear it unconsciously within them, an indelible trace of a far distant past when they dwelt in the bosom of the Eternal, and they retain this nostalgia.
