Limits, inner - always try to push them further back

The most discouraging thing about human beings is that they accept the idea of living a limited life. They see being weak, ill and unhappy as normal; they don’t imagine that life could be any different. Of course, none of us can completely escape the particular limitations nature imposes on us, but we can push these limitations back; we do not have to be forever in their grip or at their mercy. Not only is it possible to prolong positive states, positive conditions, we can also delay the onset of negative states, only we have to at least believe it is possible to do so. Unfortunately, when you observe people, you see them behaving as if hypnotized, as if a line had been drawn in front of them and they had been told, ‘That’s as far as you are going!’ And they believe it; they accept this limitation as inevitable. Well, no, it is not inevitable. But they do not know themselves; they are unaware of all the resources, all the powers, the Creator has placed in them, and there they remain, floundering. So, from now on, you should strive to push back the limits, and then you will feel and experience how much more capable you are than you thought.
