Problems - the time and the means required to solve them
Human beings possess some extremely effective faculties with which to solve their problems: thought, will and imagination. But since they are accustomed to using only external means, these faculties remain undeveloped. So many people say, ‘Oh, thought! I have tried that but I never get any results!’ Why? Well, suppose you want to overcome a physical or psychic weakness by means of thought. It has perhaps taken you centuries, several incarnations to form this weakness; so, how can you imagine that today you need only concentrate on it for a few minutes to be rid of it forever? It may again take centuries! There is justice in the universe, and when we have accumulated errors over a long period of time, it takes a great deal of time and effort to repair them. In reality, the best way to speed things up is to combine internal and external means; but you must always begin by working with your soul, your spirit and thought before adding a physical element if necessary to assist the process.
