Sacrifice - source of life and joy

Why are human beings afraid of sacrifice? Why do they reject the idea of sacrifice? Because they have the impression they will lose something. Since most often it is for others that we must make sacrifices, they imagine that the others will gain something at their expense. No, it is just the opposite and, by thinking in this way, they cut themselves off from the source of life and joy. For those who agree to make sacrifices with goodwill and love, all obstacles fall away, and they feel as if they are enfolded in an ocean of light and transported on its waves. If only human beings were to change their mental attitude, they would discover that each gesture, each action, each step they take for others can strengthen them, vitalize them and make them happy.
