Wisdom - shows us the upward path
Wisdom shows us the upward path, for we do not acquire sound knowledge by staying down, close to the ground. If you want to see what is happening in the valley, you must climb to the top of the hill. Up there, not only can you see but you are protected, and the enemy cannot reach you. If you regularly meditate on the image of a mountain peak, you will one day succeed in reaching the One whom the Psalms call the Most High. Then, even in the midst of the storm, some part of you will be able to remain there on the heights, where nothing can harm you any more. Wisdom, the light, draws beings upwards. At present, they are made to reflect and become wiser through sorrows and difficulties. But times will change, and one day wisdom will have joy, smiles and cheerfulness as its companions.
