Daily Meditation: Sunday, July 18, 1999

Creation is infinitely rich, human beings have everything …

Creation is infinitely rich, human beings have everything within them and around them. But all they do is complain. Bad tempered miseries, that is what they are; always miserable and grumpy because they lack a divine philosophy. They could be compared with someone who is immersed in water up to his (or her) neck and still says: ‘Water, water, I need water, I'm thirsty.' They are immersed in the ocean of cosmic light, but this light is not able to reach them because they are covered by a thick shell. This is the state people are in today: they are unhappy, they complain, they even think of doing away with themselves. They are incapable of understanding they are the only reason for the state they find themselves in. Cosmic intelligence has done everything to prevent them from being reduced to this extreme condition, but they have reached it because they are so terribly dull-witted. And they end up destroying themselves because life has no meaning for them any longer. Life is so full of unexpected riches and splendour, and the greatest stupidity is finding yourself in the void, unhappy because you do not have the ability to see them.
