If you do not consciously unite with the living chain of creatures, you deprive yourself of the most precious energies and you weaken. From where would you get the impetus, the inspiration, the wisdom, the love, and the strength you need to live from day to day? ‘From within ourselves,' I hear you say. Yes, for a short time perhaps, but you will soon have used up all your reserves. Even if you have great plans, you will have to interrupt your work because it is impossible to achieve something so great if you do not maintain your connection with this living chain leading to the Lord. It would be like a light bulb imagining it can give light without being connected to the electricity supply. Electricity sends a current to the bulb; the bulb itself is only a conductor. So, whether we like it or not, we are connected to the divine Source. But we must become conscious of this connection if we are to benefit fully from it for our evolution and the evolution of all the creatures in the universe.
