Learn to contemplate the rising sun as if you were watching it for the first time. Say to it, ‘Oh, dear sun, I didn’t know you yet. I saw, of course, how beautiful you are and how you distribute your light and warmth each day, but I still hadn’t understood the lesson you are giving us. Now I understand that you’re showing us the path of truth, perfection and plenitude. I want to become like you.’ Of course, you will never become like the sun; it’s impossible, but that doesn’t matter. Place the image of it in your head as an ideal, because it is precisely what is impossible that influences us, that strengthens and transforms us. Yes, instil this truth firmly in your mind. Only what is impossible and unachievable can truly encourage us to progress, to constantly forge ahead, and this is why we must take the sun as an ideal to be attained.
