A spiritual master has every means for watching over his disciples. He has only to look into the invisible to be informed about their inner state. He senses the presence of those who have not weakened and who continue to walk along the path of light. He does not sense those who have strayed onto other paths, however, and the meaning of their absence is very clear to him. He does not wonder why they are not there, because he already knows: something has detained them. And what is it that prevents a disciple from being present in this place of light? Whatever it may be, it is neither goodness, nor purity nor divine love… Meetings are held in the invisible world, and if certain people do not attend these meetings it is because they have been detained by desires, passions and dubious activities, which have bound and imprisoned them. On the other hand, those who are faithful and true are there, present in their spiritual bodies.
