Now that esoteric literature has become fashionable, more and more people are becoming interested in the Cabbalah without any idea of the dangers involved. In reality, the Cabbalah is an exceptional science in every sense, and we are advised not to begin studying it before the age of forty. Even then, it is not for everyone, but only for those who have the necessary intellectual and psychic capacity and whose moral qualities will prevent them from using this knowledge for their own ends. The Cabbalah is a mysterious teaching, difficult and even dangerous for those who are not sufficiently prepared to take it up. An anecdote handed down in Jewish tradition gives proof of this. Four rabbis got together with the intention of studying the Cabbalah. After some time, the first gave up, the second went mad, and the third committed suicide. Only the fourth continued his study and received great blessings from it. So it is worth reflecting seriously before venturing into this sacred science of the Cabbalah.
