Knowledge of the physical world alone cannot reveal the truth to us. The physical world, in other words what we can see, hear, touch, measure and weigh, is only a manifestation, a remote expression of the world of truth. We are convinced we have hold of the truth, when in fact all we perceive is its clothing, its husk. Truth is a world of perfection which manifests on the three planes: the spiritual, psychic and physical. It manifests through virtues on the spiritual plane, through thoughts and feelings on the psychic plane, and through shapes, colours and sounds, for example, on the physical plane.
