Before you count on someone’s fidelity, ask yourself first …

Before you count on someone’s fidelity, ask yourself first what sort of person he is and whether he can live up to your expectations. Then, if he betrays you, you have only yourself to blame. Why do you imagine that fate will place the person of your dreams on your path? A woman meets a man, and while she builds castles in the air, he, with the look in his eyes, with his promises and gestures, is busy calculating how to exploit this naïve woman who believes everything he tells her. And so many men are victims as well! But these misadventures are not limited to the realm of sentiment. The world of business and politics, in fact all life in society, is often made of nothing but broken promises. It is almost impossible to avoid being taken in at some time or another, but from now on you must at least learn your lessons from these unhappy experiences.
