In our day-to-day lives it is extremely important to watch what place we give to the heart and what place we give to the intellect. Stop a moment and ask yourself how frequently feelings, emotions, passion take command without the intellect coming into play or, if the intellect does take part, is it to provide the heart with the means to reach its goals? And so anarchy reigns. Yes indeed, when the intellect and thought do not fulfil their role, in other words when they do not enlighten the heart, feelings, and emotions, there is anarchy. Have you ever asked yourself why cosmic Intelligence placed the head at the top and the heart lower down? Just like in a ship, the captain is up above and the machinery is down below. The machinery makes the vessel move, but the captain steers the course. We too have an engine, and this engine is our heart, which drives our vessel. But our heart does not know in which direction to go if it is not steered by our head, the captain, who must be higher up to observe, keep watch, take decisions, so that the vessel arrives safe and sound.
