Jealousy, our need to keep those we love exclusively to …

Jealousy, our need to keep those we love exclusively to ourselves, is a terrible feeling which only makes us suffer, but it is very difficult to overcome. The only effective method is to transpose your love to a higher region. Why is it that a woman who loves a man for his intelligence, his knowledge, his disposition and his goodness wants as many people as possible to recognize him, to acknowledge him, to appreciate him and seek to meet him? Because her love is directed towards the intellectual and spiritual qualities of this man; she does not cling to him, to his physical presence, because what she loves in him is something subtle, impalpable, which nothing and no one can take away. So the only way to avoid falling into the grip of jealousy is to transform your love; if it is very sensual, realize that jealousy is inextricably tied to it. Yes, if you are physically attached to someone, you want him or her to belong to you alone. But the more spiritual your love becomes, the more you desire to present your loved one to others so that they too may appreciate his or her qualities
