Greatness - means never looking down on the weak

We are told that a disciple who had long meditated on the immensity of God and was unable to conceive of it went to see his master and asked him, 'What makes God so great?' The master answered, 'God is great, because he also cares for the smallest things.' From this statement we may conclude that all those who look down on the humble, the poor, the unhappy and the ignorant will never attain true greatness. When Jesus let the sick, the destitute, sinners and even prostitutes come to him, or when he took children in his arms, he showed that he knew this law. Those who want to frequent only the rich, the knowledgeable and the powerful and who consider everyone else beneath them will never know the greatness of God.
