Someone who has accumulated a great many material …

Someone who has accumulated a great many material possessions is never easy in his mind; he is continually in a whirl of activities, worries, etc. He must always be on the lookout to protect himself from ambitious, dishonest and greedy people who have an eye on his job and his fortune. And even if he is very vigilant, how can he foresee and remedy everything? Endless preoccupations weigh him down, materialize him and cut him off from the spiritual regions. In this way, not only does he waste a lot of time and energy that he could be using for his own evolution and that of others, but he also misses many occasions to help people thanks to his own spiritual acquisitions! Whatever tasks we have to fulfill, it is better not to overburden ourselves, but be content with the essentials for life. To ask for more is to make life difficult.
