At his transfiguration on Mount Tabor, Jesus appeared to his disciples in a light so bright that they could not stand it and fell to the ground face down. This transfiguration was an eruption of the spiritual body of Jesus, his body of glory, on the physical plane. The moment had not yet come for Jesus to leave his physical body and live eternally in his body of glory, but he could already appear in the fullness of its manifestation. Some have been able to see the glorious body of certain initiates when they were in a state of rapture or ecstasy: their faces shone and light emanated from their entire being. Thanks to this body of glory, initiates can move through space and help all creatures, even when far removed from them. Even though their earthly body may be worn out and sick, an Initiate can still work and send others help, for their physical body and their body of glory are two totally different realities: the living, shining presence of the latter is always there, enabling them to reach out to creatures through space and teach them, counsel them, comfort or bless them.
