If you are never to lose hope or courage, you must know in advance that, whatever you do, you will meet with difficulties. Even if you have wonderful plans in mind, do not start out full of illusions, for the first time there is any difficulty you will lose your equilibrium and collapse. Yes, we must never forget that in life we are always obliged to pass through difficult periods, even extremely difficult ones. That is how it is on earth: we are necessarily subjected to the alternations of day and night, heat and cold, joy and pain, spring and winter. We have to accept this and learn to work with both. And make no mistake, when you have successfully triumphed over certain tests, others will come along. But strengthened by your previous experiences, you will be victorious every time.
