It is the nature of people’s needs that determines their destiny. If they are attracted by pleasure, luxury, gambling, drugs and excess of all kinds, their destiny is outlined in advance: moral decline, destitution, perhaps even prison. However, for those who need to link themselves to heaven, to sacrifice themselves for others, to advance along the path of peace and light, their destiny is also clear: even if they encounter obstacles on the way, they are heading towards joy and fulfilment. So, each need and each wish sets us on a particular track. Depending on the nature of their needs, humans are led either towards regions infested with wasps, snakes and wild beasts, where they will be skinned alive, or towards heavenly regions, where they will meet spirits of light. So, the question of destiny is not as complicated as one would imagine. Depending on their preferences, tastes and desires, human beings determine their own finishing point and the path they will follow to reach it.
