If you want to learn to find your bearings and act with determination, you must not tolerate any inner state of division in which two contradictory thoughts or desires occur simultaneously. You must work to create unity, and you will only achieve this if you unite yourself with God, with the divine centre within you. Unity exists when all parts cooperate for the smooth running of the whole or, symbolically, when all points on the periphery converge towards the centre. Only then is it possible to act efficiently. Observe life around you, and you will see that division dislocates and destroys, whereas unity builds and strengthens. Whether it is a matter of atoms or of human beings, everything must converge towards a single centre.
