We see the same natural process throughout the universe: from chaos must emerge order, beauty and perfection. However, the exact opposite is currently happening in the art world. We look at a painting and wonder what it represents – a man, an animal, an object or a landscape – there is no longer any distinction; it is a return to chaos. Yet, nature’s intelligence always works towards differentiation and organization: a single cell divides and a few months later, a human being appears in all its richness and complexity. Must we now reverse course and become single-celled again? No, that would be a regression, but it is in this very direction that many artists, who are neither educated nor enlightened, would lead us.
