We breathe, and our respiration is the reflection of an …

We breathe, and our respiration is the reflection of an immense cosmic respiration, that of God himself. God breathes in and out… He breathes out, and a new universe appears. He breathes in, and everything disappears and merges into him. Man breathes in and out eighteen times a minute, whereas it is impossible to calculate how many millions of years it takes for cosmic inhalation and exhalation. The life of human beings begins with their first breath and ends with their last. And between these two moments, life is nothing other than an uninterrupted succession of inhalations and exhalations. It is for us to find the deeper meaning of this.
