We now know that the bird species has evolved from certain reptiles that lived on earth millions of years ago. Perhaps certain individuals among them who were more enterprising, more daring, and more inquisitive wanted to lift themselves free from the earth. Some followed their example, while others, lazy and a little stupid, continued to slither along the ground. This is also what happens amongst human beings: throughout history there has always been a minority ready to follow those who led them on new paths, while others – the majority – stagnated. There have always been pioneers, those more daring than others, and it is thanks to these audacious few that humankind progresses. Yes, and depending on our good will, the degree of our awareness, our intelligence, and on our efforts to elevate ourselves, every one of us may become a bird and fly free.
