When it arrives at our table, even the most succulent and well-prepared food is not yet ready to be perfectly assimilated by our organism. It is a foreign substance which does not vibrate in unison with it, and every particle that does not vibrate in unison with our organism upsets it. So many people are ill, not because of what they eat but how they eat! We must therefore tame our food and make friends with it, and we do so by making a habit of taking our meals in silence, in a spirit of reverence, love and gratitude. Only our thoughts and feelings can transform our food, so that it can be perfectly assimilated and its energies distributed harmoniously throughout the body.
