Words are a two-edged weapon, able to enlighten, help and …

Words are a two-edged weapon, able to enlighten, help and liberate, as well as to destroy and massacre. Often when people have destroyed someone with reproach and recriminations they claim to have done so, ‘For that person's own good. He needed to hear it. I was only being honest.' In truth, however, such people need to express their irritation, or dissatisfaction and they use ‘a person's own good' and ‘honesty' as a pretext. Why can they only be honest under the influence of anger ? They may give all the reasons they like, but people cannot have a good influence on others by means of words until their motivation is truly disinterested and spiritual.
