‘I am the good shepherd,’ said Jesus. ‘I know my own and my own know me.’ In the same way, man is a shepherd of the cells of his body and must protect them from the wolves looking to breach the sheepfold. What do these wolves represent? They are not only microbes and viruses, but evil spirits of the invisible world, the undesirables that endlessly assail us. He who wants to be a good shepherd to his sheep must learn the truths of the divine world and observe the laws of nature. In doing so, he makes contact with the realms of light, and from on high he projects rays onto his cells in order to chase away the ‘wolves’ that have found their way into him. This is Christ’s teaching. The true teaching of Christ tells us that we must place all our trust in the power of light, in the power of the spirit which animates, strengthens and liberates. It is then that, like Jesus, we become good shepherds to our flock.
