Just as we have a physical stomach to digest our physical food, we have an astral stomach which serves to digest our emotions. If we over-indulge, if we swallow any and every emotion, not only do we get indigestion but we accumulate waste which we must then eliminate, just as we have to eliminate waste from our physical food. Those who over-indulge in crude and violent emotions contaminate everything in their path with nauseating emanations. Thus, there are rules to observe concerning our emotional food, just as there are those that apply to our physical food, and it is up to each of us to discover these rules within ourselves.
