Human beings can only develop fully by participating in the fraternal life of a collectivity. Some claim they have barely enough time to manage their own affairs… But what are these affairs? Their selfish interests, their egotistical passions, which imprison them in the dark regions of their subconscious. While people believe they are free and working for themselves, so many are in fact working for their worst enemies, for the unknown enemies within them who order them about: ‘I want to eat this… No, I don’t want that… Go and get me that, over there!’ And they run around wildly trying to satisfy what they think of as themselves. It is time they understood that by doing so they are nourishing the worst enemies of their own happiness, that if they truly wish to work for themselves they must participate in the fraternal life, which is a life of generosity, love and light.
