In the belief that we must all show a critical mind and demystify the philosophical and religious ideas passed on by previous - over-credulous - generations, our contemporaries have lost their sense for what is sacred, which has meant that they have overlooked the greatest truths of initiatic science. This is highly detrimental to their evolution, because as such nature closes its doors to them and they are deprived of all its revelations. Nature opens up only to those who possess a sense of sacredness. Cultivating this sense of sacredness means finding the right inner attitude that will give an as yet unsuspected dimension, colour and flavour to the minutest details of everyday life. Do not expect great things from the outside. Even if an initiate were to come and reveal great things to you, they might be of no use to you at all. If they are to find a true echo within you, you must develop a sense for what is sacred.
