Prayers - find the words to say inwardly

You do not need to know how to recite many prayers by heart. For Christians, the Lord’s Prayer and two or three others suffice. It is up to each person to find the words to say inwardly as new circumstances and events arise in their lives. When the wind is blowing away the clouds and impurities from the atmosphere, why not ask the breath of the spirit to chase all your bad thoughts and feelings away? If you drop and break something, you can say, ‘May all the obstacles on my way to God be broken into a thousand pieces!’ And so on. And when you see the sun rising in the morning, say, ‘As the sun rises over the world, may the sun of love rise in my heart; may the sun of wisdom rise in my mind; may the sun of truth rise in my soul and in my spirit!’ This is how you will become a true son or daughter of God: by means of the Word.* For the Word is alive and active; it has the power to transform us.
