The masculine principle and the feminine principle are two powers that, when brought together, effect a particular kind of work. Even when men and women are not aware of it, something happens: the masculine principle becomes active and dynamic, while the feminine becomes receptive. Initiates, who always go much further in their understanding of all natural phenomena, know how to apply this law in the spiritual life to awaken certain qualities within them. For them it is no longer a question of men or women but of divine principles. In order to develop feminine faculties of receptivity, humility, gentleness, goodness and obedience, Initiates place themselves in the presence of the masculine principle, the heavenly Father. To develop power, strength and will, they place themselves in contact with the feminine principle, the Divine Mother. In this way, in developing both masculine and feminine qualities, Initiates walk the path of perfection.
