We have to eat to be healthy, but it isn’t enough to simply absorb food: the most important thing is to assimilate it properly. And to be able to assimilate food properly, you have to chew it long enough to extract all the elements it contains. Yes, chew it for a long time, and do it consciously. Tell yourself the energy contained in a mouthful of bread is enough to send a one-hundred-carriage train three times around the earth. So, why does the train that is you do only a few miles on one mouthful? Because you have never learned how to extract all the energy this one mouthful contains. And it’s the same with the sun as with food. Try to learn to hold onto the sun’s rays by means of your thoughts, for all the while you let them pass you by without doing anything with them, they will remain unused and ineffectual. But if you consciously catch hold of them and concentrate them within yourself, you will open doors to them in your brain, and they will pass through you like a whirl of fire, feeding your spiritual centres.
