The line of a letter is not insignificant. To someone who is able to interpret the shapes, it contains a wealth of knowledge. Let us take the letter M as an example. It is written with two peaks separated by a deep valley. You go up the left peak, for instance, and if, when you arrive at the top, you want to reach the right peak, you must go down into the valley first (taking care not to fall) and then you can climb the second peak. The two peaks of the letter M could be interpreted as the two poles of our psychic life, i.e. our lower self and our higher self. And we ceaselessly come and go between these two poles, with lesser or greater difficulty, but we must persevere because once we succeed in weaving our life harmoniously between one and the other pole, all the forces within us will find a balance.
