Would you like me to explain how the stars affect us? Take the example of a pretty young girl: she does not say to the boy she meets:'Come with me, hug me.' She does not throw herself at him, or even approach him; she feigns indifference. But she puts on airs, she strikes poses... The boy, of course, is not unaffected by this ploy, and it is he who makes the advances. You see, she said nothing, she did nothing, but nevertheless she influenced him. Why? Because he is weak. Well, the stars are exactly like pretty girls: they manage to awaken something in a human being, and if he is weak, he succumbs. They inspire in him a flash of anger, for example, and he rushes out to strike his neighbour. Later the stars can say: 'But we did not force him!'
