There are several forms of vision and they are known by different words depending on the plane to which they apply. At the highest level is the vision of the spirit, which we call understanding. This vision does not take a physical or material format and people are often not aware of what they see. But in reality they do see. When a higher reality is suddenly revealed to someone in the form of an idea it means they have succeeded in projecting beams of light from themselves very far and very high up, which allow them to see laws, connections, a structure in the universe. It is the light of the spirit which illuminates reality and allows us to grasp its highest aspects.
