Through prayer and meditation, you enter into relationship with higher regions where you accumulate certain forces. Then, if you need to speak, your words are meaningful, vibrant and effective, because they are full of love, light and divine force. This love, light and divine force are known as the Word, and it is the Word which imparts its power to the spoken word. To explain this idea further, we can say that before you express yourself in words, you have thoughts and feelings, and these are the Word. Spoken words are the forms, the words you choose in a certain language to envelop your Word and make yourself understood by others. The Word itself finds immediate expression in the invisible world, such that all creatures, even the angels and archangels, can understand it. But whether you address human beings or angels, you must begin by working on your Word, which is to say, on the thoughts and feelings it will convey.
